Love is a Mystery
I had a vision |
it happened last night |
someone was sqeezing |
and holding me tight |
He was so kind |
his eyes were sincere |
I quietly asked |
"Why are you here?" |
He promised to stay |
and never to go |
His job was to give me |
a permanent glow |
I laughed at his words |
I didn't believe |
I secretly wished |
this person would leave |
He studied my face |
My biternees showed |
My eyes were like stone |
My words remained cold |
"Just go away!" |
I screamed in his ears |
It's best to go now |
than to wait a few years |
The shock in his face |
could not be described |
his beloved face crumbled |
and he broke down and cried |
"It is with you, love |
that I want to be" |
His words were like fire |
and ice to me |
My fear was too strong |
I could not submit |
A flame cannot burn |
If it is not lit |
But I am alone |
Should it be this way? |
or will I lose love |
day after day... |
